Because our roots are in technology development, we have maintained the geeky/fun tradition of building things in our free time. It is in our blood to get our hands dirty and build something meaningful we can use or give away. The collection you see here is the result of researching, experimenting and prototyping.

Working on these ideas outside of our daily tasks keeps us abreast of the trends and sharpens our expertise, which contributes back into building our methodology. At Savant Degrees, one of our core values is learning new things and our labs are one of our best avenues.

Hummonix Jukebox

Before we started Savant Degrees, we were a motley crew of engineers and designers who were spoiled by the comforts of working from home. When we decided to work together, we quickly learned that our habit of playing music loudly from our laptops was not creating the most conducive environment for the team.

One of us decided to spend a week to whip up an application to queue songs and prevent the over-pollution our sound space. And Hummonix was born.

Born out of: A distaste for wearing headphones and not being able to share our music.

The t.wits.sg blog was born when Savant Degrees was WITS, the first incarnation of our company that provided only web development services. This blog originated as a record of technology questions that we’ve researched and solved so that our readers don’t have to.

In recent years, the blog has evolved to encompass broader topics in entrepreneurship. Watch this blog for advice, products and code you can use in building your next big tech idea.
