After a successful and award winning redesign of the Toggle apps, Mediacorp came to us with a bigger and more challenging problem: How do we integrate xinmsn, previously one of Singapore’s most visited internet portal featuring various news and entertainment information for Singapore-based users, within the wider Toggle branding?

Introducing the customer centric strategy

Savant Degrees conducted an intense study to fully understand the aspirations and challenges of the organisation. We looked inwards (through multi stakeholder interviews) and outwards (by exploring the best of the industry) to give Mediacorp another perspective. Our study resulted in the development of the “Phoenix Framework”, and gave Mediacorp a new way of thinking about how they can leverage their strongest asset and empower their staff to create new and relevant customer experiences.

A responsive touchpoint

With the strategy in place, we led a multi-vendor team to design, build and integrate the new experience that merged xinmsn’s entertainment content with Toggle’s on demand video service. The result was a component-based responsive design system, which gave Mediacorp maximum flexibility, delivered by unifying our Experience Design approach with an Agile Development Methodology.
